The inspection process consists of the following stages. Please note that this is a visual inspection only—no vehicle components are dismantled or removed during the assessment.
Stage 1: Exterior & Accidental Damage Assessment Evaluation of the vehicle’s exterior condition, including paint quality, identification of replaced or repaired body parts, areas with body filler (polygate), and signs of previous accidental damage.
Stage 2: Mechanical Evaluation Assessment of key mechanical systems such as suspension performance, gear shifting smoothness, engine responsiveness, braking efficiency, and steering control.
Stage 3: Advanced Diagnostic Testing A comprehensive diagnostic scan using one of the industry’s top OBD scanners. The test covers all electronic modules and sensors connected to the ECU, including engine, transmission, ABS, electric power steering, climate control, hybrid batteries (where applicable), and more.

If any issue with the engine of the inspected vehicle is evident or apparent during the test drive, it will be reported in the inspection report. We do not perform any tests that require the removal or dismantling of any parts of the vehicle.
Test Drive Policy We aim to facilitate a test drive with every inspection. However, a test drive may not be conducted due to various reasons, including but not limited to: owner refusal, safety concerns, adverse weather conditions, invalid vehicle registration, legal restrictions, or any other circumstance that prevents a test drive. Please note that any test drive is undertaken at your own risk and expense. AMS99 Car Inspection bears no responsibility and shall not be held liable for any loss or damage of any kind that may occur during the test drive.
Yes, the inspection is done at a certain date and time and the report is valid only for the date and time specified on the Inspection Report.
The inspection of the vehicle usually takes 45 to 60 minutes. After the inspection has been performed, the Inspection Report is sent to our quality control department for review after which it will be sent to you through e-mail or WhatsApp. This might take up to one (1) hour.
The majority of vehicles fitted with a hybrid battery have no additional instruments provided to indicate the health of the battery. Due to this, the inspector is unable to confirm the health of the hybrid battery without performing a road test or a diagnostic test.
